Denbighshire has won an Excellence Wales award in the Healthy Living category.

We achieved commended status in the 'Our Health' division of the awards, held at the St David's Hotel and Spa, Cardiff on March 9. The Excellence Wales brochure that was produced for the evening praised Denbighshire as being'recognised nationally as a pioneer in anti-smoking promotion'.

They also praised the Health Challenge Denbighshire scheme.

Ian Miller, Sian Bennett, Nicola Gribben, Sue Wright, Cllr Rhiannon Hughes and Cllr Stuart Davies were on hand to pick up the award from TV presenters Rhodri and Lucy Owen.
